Hesli grew up in Pretoria and matriculated from Hoërskool Garsfontein whereafter she obtained her BCom LLB degree from the North West University in Potchefstroom. Hesli moved back to Pretoria to commence with her legal career as a candidate attorney in January 2019. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in March 2021.

In May 2021 Hesli moved to Somerset West and joined the Litigation Department at Rufus Dercksen Inc. She now heads the Litigation Department at the firm and attends to all litigious matters for private and corporate clients. Hesli is on the Master of the High Court’s National Panel of Liquidators. 

Other than the law, Hesli enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, going on adventures and exploring the beautiful scenery, exciting activities, scrumptious cuisine and variety of wine farms which the Western Cape has to offer.
