Lindi Nel

Lindi grew up in and around the Garden Route. She earned her LLB from Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) and completed several internships during her studies that gave her valuable practical exposure to the profession.

She graduated in 2022 and began her articles of clerkship in Mossel Bay, where she gained substantial experience in both criminal and civil litigation. She later moved to George to further develop her career and skills in conveyancing, commercial law and property law.

Seeking greater challenges, personal growth and a faster-paced professional environment, Lindi packed up her small-town life to join the Rufus Dercksen Inc. team in Stellenbosch in August 2026. She is drawn to the town’s majestic mountains, pristine nature and the inspiring setting that surrounds the area.

Outside of the law, Lindi attempts to hike every mountain she sees, camp as much as possible, and explore the region’s wine farms and good food.
