Megan was born and raised in Gqeberha, formally known as Port Elizabeth, where she matriculated from Alexander Road High School in 2015. She obtained her Bachelor Laws (LLB) in April 2021 from Nelson Mandela University and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in April 2023. 

Megan started her legal journey in Gqeberha at Lawrence Masiza Vorster Inc where she was first appointed as a Candidate Attorney and thereafter a Junior Associate. She moved to Franschhoek and joined Rufus Dercksen Inc. Attorneys in November 2023. Megan currently works in our litigation department and attends to various litigious matters and commercial disputes. 

Other than law, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors and reading.
