Simonet was born in the Eastern Cape and raised in the Western Cape, where she matriculated from Brackenfell High School in 2018. Driven by a commitment to serve, she obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Stellenbosch University in 2023. During her studies, she was actively involved in student leadership and academic development, serving on the Juridical Law Society, the Student Representative Council, and as an academic tutor within the Faculty of Law.

In 2024, Simonet commenced her legal career at a Stellenbosch-based law firm, where she was appointed as a Candidate Attorney. During her articles, she gained exposure to a broad spectrum of legal matters, including eviction proceedings, divorce law, and class action litigation.

She was admitted as an attorney in February 2026 and will continue her professional journey as an Associate Attorney at Rufus Dercksen Inc., where she will focus on dispute resolution and general litigation. She is committed to contributing meaningfully and to delivering client-focused legal services.

Simonet is regarded by her colleagues as an inquisitive and innovative thinker, adopting a thoughtful and strategic approach tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.

Beyond her professional work, Simonet’s world revolves around her two dachshunds, Milo and Levi. When not exploring with them, she enjoys spending her time on various creative pursuits.
