Telanie grew up in the small town of Fochville, Gauteng, and matriculated from Potchefstroom Gimnasium in 2017. She earned her BCom Law degree in 2021 and her LLB in 2023. In December 2022, she relocated to the Western Cape to pursue her articles and was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in February 2025. Shortly after, she joined Rufus Dercksen Inc. to continue her legal career. 

Telanie has a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Western Cape and enjoys spending her free time outdoors, whether hiking, camping, or taking scenic drives. She is an avid baker and loves hosting friends and family, with a special fondness for a good South African braai in true local spirit. A lover of all animals and wildlife, she finds joy and inspiration in nature
