After matriculating with an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Abu Dhabi International (Pvt.) School in the United Arab Emirates, Zelri returned to South Africa to study at the University of Cape Town, where she obtained a BSocSci in Political Science in 2017 and an LLB degree in 2019. She also completed a Commercial and Court-aligned Mediation course through Mediation in Motion in 2019.

Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2022, Zelri has since practiced as an Associate with a focus on intellectual property law and corporate governance.

She values continuous growth in her career at Rufus Dercksen Inc. and is committed to broadening her expertise in commercial law, particularly in contract drafting and negotiation.
