Tania van der Spuy

Originally from Langebaan on the West Coast, Tania holds a Bachelor’s degree and an Honours degree in Psychology which she completed in 2025. Her completion of a Family Law Mediation Certification inspired a keen interest in the legal profession, motivating her transition into the field and joining the Rufus Dercksen team in June 2026.

Her background in psychology has provided her with a strong foundation in critical thinking, research, and understanding human behaviour, skills that complement her work in the legal field. 

Outside of work, Tania enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring artistic pursuits, caring for her growing collection of houseplants, and exploring the natural beauty of the Cape Winelands.
